Procedure |
The acceptance decision will be notified to you with the email address you provided. ① LMS Log in - Dorm Application – Application Status – Print out the Invoice ② Make the Payment – Upload the receipt to LMS Status Menu ※ The payment must be made in full within 7 days after the acceptance result was notified. (If you need a payment extension, please contact us at korean3@hufs.ac.kr ) ※ If you lose touch without a word or advance notice and don’t complete the payment within 7 days after the invoice was issued, you will be automatically put on the waiting list. ③ Once your arrival date is determined, please input it into the LMS. ④ Required Documents - Arrival – Move-in |

1. Check-in Period: 9:00 ~ 17:00 on weekdays ※ You can only accompany the parent of the same sex during the move-in & out days. (Male Student – Father / Female Student – Mother) ※ The move-in & out dates are subject to change depending on the unforeseen events. (Will be informed well in advance.) 2. Check-in Procedure a. Make sure that you have prepared the following documents: ① A copy of passport or ARC ② Sworn Statement (available at the Global Hall office) ③ TB Test Result (Chest X-ray) : before or after arrival (must be in Korean or English) ④ Measles vaccination certificate (both the first and second doses): Since the cost of measles vaccination is expensive in Korea, it is recommended to complete both the first and second doses before entering the country. b. Visit the Global Hall Office (3F) ① Sign on the Sworn Statement. ② Submit the other required documents. ③ Check your room number and relevant regulations. ※ Global Hall Office : 3F, 114 Imun-ro, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Map : https://goo.gl/maps/STSuEp5A5iBfb1kN7) ※ You don’t need to drop by CKLC office. c. Check-in your room according to the Global Hall Office’s guideline. |

① LMS Log in – Dorm Application – Application Status – Move-out Date ② Room Inspection (9 AM ~ 5 PM weekday) : After cleaning your room, please visit the Global Hall Office 1-2 days before your checkout date. * If you are leaving on the weekend, you must have your room inspected on a weekday. * You must personally request and receive the room inspection. Roommates or others cannot receive the room inspection on your behalf. ③ Move-out and Return of Card Key: - On weekdays (9 AM - 5 PM) : Return the key to the Global Hall office (3F) - On weekends and holidays : Return the key to the Information Desk in the lobby ④ Deposit Refund : (After completing room inspection) LMS Dorm Application - Refund ※ If you leave in the middle of the accommodation contract, please contact firstly korean3@hufs.ac.kr. ① A double room is norm. ※ If you wish to use a single room, please contact us. at korean3@hufs.ac.kr. It is only available when there are vacant, and you should pay the difference. ② You cannot change the assigned room, and roommate preferences could not be accommodated. ③ If you are not registered for the Korean Program, your application will be automatically canceled. ④ Failure to complete the payment by the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of your application. ⑤ You will not be permitted to move into the dormitory if there is any issue with your TB X-ray results. ⑥ Any violation of the regulations and policies will result in a 20% penalty and immediate eviction. |

- You are required to give advance notice about 3 weeks before your move-out and agree the date you will be leaving so that the Global Hall can make a prior appointment to visit your room for inspection and check the full inventory for any damage or repair or the level of cleanness. Based on the outcome of the inspection visit, the remaining deposit will be returned. (If there is any subsequent loss or damage to the residence, you will be responsible for additional charges.)
- The dormitory fees for Korean Special Course depend on the course period.

- Refund must be made to the account in your name or your family's name (with a family relationship certificate in the name of your family)
- In case of move-out due to violation of dormitory regulations, no full refund except for the deposit.

5. Dormitory rules
- According to the guidelines from the Ministry of Education, it is mandatory to submit a tuberculosis test result.
- You are required to familiarize yourself with the following residential rules to create an atmosphere of a community and a nurturing educational environment if you live in accommodation.

If the resident violates any of the rules (No. 6~10) set out below, the resident is forced out of the residence immediately and the University will ban any future return to the residence for one semester in conjunction with any of the penalties imposed by the University. | ||
6 | Do not change or damage furniture or remove furniture from the residence or any other part of the residence. All furniture must be in its original position. You are deterred from unauthorised replacement or rearrangement of fixtures, fittings and furniture. Your rights in the accommodation are not transferrable to anyone else. | |
7 | Any incident of unacceptable/anti-social/inappropriate behavior brought to the residential services team’s attention will be dealt with accordingly. | |
8 | When entering or leaving the room, the resident must do so by the main door and must not use the windows. | |
9 | If the resident is facing possible disciplinary suspension or expulsion for misconduct or violation of policy, the student will lose a room and will be banned from the student housing application for the next term. | |
10 | You should not fill out an accommodation application under false pretences that you are not who you claim you say you are or it contains incorrect or false information about you. | |
11 | Not taking appropriate action and violating rules even when prompted by the services team. | 10 penalty points |
12 | If you allow a guest into the residence without formal permission, the resident will receive the appropriate penalty and disciplinary action. | |
13 | Unattended cooking, possession of prohibited items in residences including untested electrical devices/weapons/flammable materials and use of unauthorized electrical equipment such as electric blankets. | |
14 | Acting in a manner which could endanger the wellbeing of members of the residence or which constitutes unacceptable behavior resulting from excessive consumption of alcohol and/or drugs and intoxication. (Once found in student accommodation, it would be confiscated and destroyed.) | |

17 | Keeping pets including fish or livestock or any living animals on premises. | |

24 | We discourage wearing clothes which are too revealing or tight or behaving inappropriately towards fellow residents. | |
25 | Keeping your room clean and tidy at all times. | |
26 | Hanging unapproved banners, flags or similar materials in windows or on the notice board of the residence. | |
27 | You are not allowed to enter the residence during the hours 24:00 to 5:00 on weekdays, 1:00 to 5:00 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or public holidays including vacations. | 2 penalty points |
- You are liable for the cost of any repair work if you are responsible for any damage caused.
- We will carry out a roll call every night.
- Any resident with more than 20 penalties will be asked to leave accommodation without delay or if more than 10 penalties, you will be banned from reapplying.
- On a rare occasion that there is no reference to any misconduct to establish the formal case, we will summon the disciplinary committee and decide the degree of disciplinary action.
Local private rented housing is not hard to find. In fact, private accommodation are quite safe and affordable. For a single studio room, it costs about 550,000 won (The amount covers the cost of housing plus cleaning fee: 50,000 won / deposit 10,000,000 won / The costs may vary depending on the package they offer including the distance and meal plan. Alternatively, there are tiny rooms called “고시원” and they often have shared kitchen and laundry facilities. Mostly, self-catered.)
